Whitney performed
Download video: MP4 format

In the wake of the untimely passing of our beloved Whitney, many of us fans want to find many ways to help keep her memory alive.
In 1991, Whitney performed what has become the most iconic version of our National Anthem and we feel it it would only be right and an honor to her legacy to use her version at next year’s Superbowl. The idea was brought to us by a Whitney fan, so we ask that someone with the skills to come up with a cogent letter proposing the idea to the NFL Association, who is ultimately responsible in handling all-things-Superbowl.
The idea is a remarkable one and what better way to remember Whitney’s death anniversary by having her standard rendition performed 22 years later on a big screen for hundreds of millions to see? With advanced technology, her 1991 version could be remastered and prepped for the masses to witness and cherish all over again.
It may seem a little early to pitch the idea but the earlier we get this to the NFL Association, the better. I’m not absolutely sure which person to contact in regards to this great idea, but I am sure a flood of emails from Whitney fans could get us directed to the right person.

In the wake of a bad tabloid day for our diva – through the ashes good news follows. According to The Hollywood Reporter , are reporting that industry sources says Simon Cowell has offered Whitney a position on the XFactor judging panel.
This would be ecstatic news for Whitney fans abroad; Whitney is usually a very elusive diva and it would be good to see her every week being her humorous self. What better person to judge amateur singers than someone who’s been there-done that? This would also be a big paying gig for the iconic diva being she is a huge media draw and would bring big ratings to the show.
It is mixed reactions from fans: many feel Whitney is too legendary to be on a judging panel; some fans would rather see her continue to do movies and make music; while there are other fans who think this gig would only give rags the opportunity to use her eccentric behavior as her being under the influence of drugs.
No matter what we all may think, publicity is publicity and the decision would be ultimately hers. I personally think this would be a very smart career move and only hype her image even more.
What do y’all think?
Karyn White’s late 80s massive R&B classic Superwoman is an empowerment song with lyrics that would fit quite well in Getting To Happy’s new story line. Many fans would tell you that Superwoman has Whitney written all over it; and many always wondered what it would have sounded like had Whitney recorded it.
Well here is our chance to voice our opinions! Whitney recorded 3 songs on the original WTE Soundtrack back in 1995, and by all means we would love to hear her sing this stellar classic in 2012!
Whitney’s current tone, inflections, phrasing, experiences – has all the ingredients to take this song to a new level. Could you just imagine her adlibs and runs on this song??? No disrespect to Ms. Karyn White who sang it well, but I’d always felt this song was missing that extra umph – and that extra umph was/is Ms. Whitney Houston!
Listen to Superwoman and you decide if this should be a cover Whitney would tackle and bring to new heights:
